Yes, Colombia generally has reliable taxi services. At Rafael Núñez International Airport, use official taxi counters inside the terminal to request a licensed taxi or arrange a ride with a reputable app/service. This is safer and easier than hailing taxis outside the door.

Cartagena is popular with tourists and many areas (especially Centro Histórico and Bocagrande) are safe to walk in during daytime. Always stay aware of your surroundings, keep valuables secure, and use common travel safety practices — especially at night.

It depends on your nationality. Colombia allows short visa-free stays (usually up to 90 days) for citizens of many countries, and you simply enter with your passport stamped upon arrival.

• Likely require a visa to enter Colombia for short tourism stays (must apply before travel): Turkey, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Qatar.
